Gary and Betsy Edgecomb

Gary and Betsy Edgecomb started Edgecomb's Imported Auto in 1979, after having owned a similar business in Rochester, New York. While raising five children, they worked as a team to establish a reputation for honesty and integrity in both service and sales. Gary and Betsy believe strongly in giving back to their community. In addition to offering their home as a shelter for runaway teens, helping to rebuild after hurricanes Andrew and Katrina, and acting as goodwill ambassadors through the Friendship Force, they have helped numerous individuals, families, and non-profit organizations over the years. Technically, Gary and Betsy are retired. However, Gary can still be found selling a car from time to time or renovating the office. They both remain very involved in offering their wisdom and guidance to the current management team.

Sheri Edgecomb

Sheri Edgecomb

The second oldest of the five Edgecomb children, Sheri has been with the company since 1995. As a child she got to know Volvos riding around in the family’s 1963 Volvo 122 wagon, and spent many hours watching her dad, Gary, turning wrenches. Although she never acquired the repair skill that her sister Nikki is known for, she did inherit a true appreciation for cars. Sheri is happy to be working for a company that always keeps fairness and integrity at the forefront. She is especially proud to be active in helping to maintain a business that treats everyone equally, takes environmental concerns seriously, and believes in a fair wage.

Charlotte Tisdale

Charlotte Tisdale

Charlotte began her relationship with Edgecomb’s as a customer, buying one of her first cars here. As a true Volvo enthusiast she was a natural when she decided to pursue a career here. Throughout her career, Charlotte has strived to provide her customers with the highest level of service possible. In doing so, she has developed a knack for creating real relationships with her customers. As the Sales Manager, Charlotte has been involved in developing a variety of new services for our customers, such as a range of financing options, expanding our sales selection, and processing DMV paperwork.

Kia Gaines

Kia Gaines

Since 2002, Kia has been advising service customers about the maintenance and repairs needed on their vehicles. Her knowledge of automotive theory and her uncanny ability to remember her customer’s names, faces, and vehicles, come together to make her an invaluable resource at Edgecomb’s. Kia’s abilities recently prompted the creation of the new position of Service/Parts Manager. In this role she will continue to act as the service advisor to customers, as well as assisting our Shop Foreman Buck with the management of the service and parts departments.

Buck Dean

Buck Dean

Starting out as a technician more than 10 years ago, Buck has worn many hats during his time at Edgecomb’s. Technician, Diagnostician, Salesperson, Buyer, and Shop Foreman are some of the roles he fills. Add to that a friendly and caring personality, and it’s no wonder that his customers and co-workers love him. Like Gary when he ran the shop, Buck is always willing to go the extra mile to help a customer in a bind. Thankfully, he has a very patient wife who understands when he works late to finish up that last car, or to take in that emergency. He’s even been known to stop to help stranded customers with his entire family in the car!

Mer McLernon

Mer McLernon

Mer originally came to Edgecomb's when her 83 year old father's car broke down in rush hour traffic. She told him "I want you in the safest car possible." Dad now owns a Volvo, and so does Mer. She so enjoyed test driving the vehicles, and going through the sales process, that she is now employed here. Mer's passion for driving, and her concern about safety (she was a motorcycle safety instructor for 13 years) are major contributors to her being a valuable asset to Edgecomb's. Mer came to Edgecomb's from the customer service team at Whole Foods Market. She is passionate about the need to go the extra mile in today's hectic world. She is always willing to take the time to make her customers feel as special as they are.

Lynae Hatcher

Lynae Hatcher originally joined the Edgecomb’s team following in her father Floyd’s footsteps in the detail department. Her initiative, versatility, and organizational skills quickly became apparent. After successfully learning several aspects of both the sales and service departments, Lynae was chosen to assist customers as a service advisor. The multi-tasking skills she has picked up as a mother of two girls have combined with her many other talents to make her a great person to help customers navigate through the repair and maintenance process.

Sandy Goodson

Sandy Goodson can easily be described as a jill-of-all-trades. Musician, Mother, Horticulturalist, DJ, and arm wrestling champ are all items on her resume. You never know if you’ll see her toting bales of hay on the top of her Volvo wagon, performing with her band Plum Jam, or deejaying at WTJU. Her strong ethical values combined with her belief in the quality and safety of Volvos & Subarus, and a strong background in customer service, make her a perfect addition to our sales force.
